Dear Cairo Conference,

We do share your struggle for liberation, justice and democracy. The struggle must continue until you achieve a departure of the pro-Zionist dictator. Vigilance is the prime importance for shaping the struggle and avoiding the element of thuggary to penetrate through your lines. Be assured that the American/Zionists are working hand in hand with those who are causing injuries to demonstrators. What has happened in Egypt will undoubtedly affect the whole region by awakening from the long passive acceptance of the American/Zionist influence in the region. However, we all wish total success for the movement in achieving liberty in the region and hope after establishing a national unity government to concentrate on providing justice and fairness to the people of Egypt.

At this juncture we must view seriously that tourism as a stand has a devastating affect on the economy, therefore serious consideration ought to be given to a self-reliant economy in order to create jobs which serve the national interest of Egypt rather than to remain as subservient to foreign investors who have no long term interest in the country once their investment has recovered. Please don’t take me wrong. I am not against tourism, but I am against tourism as a stand in Egypt, Morocco and Jordon which has reflected very short term interest into the natural resources and long term economy of the country.

I wish you luck and we will continue supporting your struggle. Let us hope by the end of the day we will be able to rejoice.

Kind regards

Riad El-Taher
